WEBER COUNTY, Utah, July 12, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — North View and Weber Fire districts were dispatched Friday evening to a brush fire about halfway up the North Ogden Divide, below the roadway.
Crews were alerted at 7:41 p.m.
“Units arrived on scene and extinguished an acre fire that was burning in sage brush, and oak brush,” a North View Fire statement says.
“The fire is contained.”
A Forest Service crew was called in because it was on federal land, the statement says.
“There are no structures threatened and crews will remain on scene until all the hot spots are extinguished. The firefighters on scene did an incredible job navigating rough terrain to safely put out the fire,” the statement says.
“The fire is believed to be human caused and is under further investigation.”
