OGDEN, Utah, July 5, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Ogden police are seeking the public’s help locating person of interest after a fatal shooting last month.

Ogden City police are trying to locate Keshaun Mykel Puente, 20, a person of interest in the June 13 homicide of Denero Lamar Snider, 23.

Snider was shot and killed in a parking lot at 630 23rd St., Ogden Police officials said in a news release on Facebook on Thursday.

Puente has active arrest warrants for first-degree felony object rape and class A assault with substantial bodily injury. Both warrants are unrelated to the homicide, police said.

Gunshots were reported at about 4:30 p.m. June 13, Lt. Tim Scott, an investigator at the Ogden Police Department, told Gephardt Daily at the time.

Snider was treated by paramedics at the scene, then rushed to a hospital, where he succumbed to his wounds, officials said.

Investigators responded to the crime scene from the Ogden Police Department, the Weber County Sheriff’s Office, the Weber County Critical Incident Task Force, and Crime Scene Investigation.

At the time, officials said in a news release “this appears to be an isolated incidentĀ involving acquaintances. There is no known threat to the general public.”

Investigators believe Puente is armed and the public should use caution. Officials advise people not to approach him, and to contact local law enforcement if he is seen. Puente is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and 180 pounds, with dark hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding Puente should contact the Ogden City Police Department at [email protected] or Detective Lewis at 801-629-8438.
