Dump truck rollover closes Ogden Canyon for 4 hours

OGDEN CANYON, Utah July 16, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Ogden Canyon reopened Tuesday night after a dump truck rollover closed all lanes of travel for four hours.

The Weber County Sheriff’s Office by 8 p.m. posted online the canyon was open again after the 4 p.m. mishap.

“The Weber County Sheriff’s Office and Utah Highway Patrol on are scene of a dump truck which rolled over at approximately 600 Ogden Canyon Road,” the sheriff’s office said in a warning to drivers earlier in the afternoon.

“Currently all lanes of traffic are closed while the vehicle is up righted and removed.

“The driver of the vehicle reported he did not receive any injuries due to the crash.”

The cause of the rollover has yet to released.
