WEST JORDAN, Utah, June 18, 2019 (Gephardt Daily) — Police in West Jordan are investigating an early morning shooting that’s left one man in critical condition.
West Jordan Officer Jennifer Worthen told Gephardt Daily, police were called to a home near 7300 South 2700 West about 1:10 a.m. after multiple reports of “shots fired.”
When police arrived they found shell casings in the street, but no sign of a victim.
Investigators were still on scene when they received word that a lone man had arrived at Jordan Valley West Hospital with gunshot wounds. The wounded man was then rushed by ground ambulance to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray where he’s listed in critical condition.
Worthen said police had yet establish a motive in the shooting and were waiting for a search warrant before entering a nearby home.
No word yet on the victim’s identity or how he made it to the hospital.
