WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah, Oct. 8, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Hurricane Valley Fire & Rescue crews were dispatched Monday to a motorcycle accident in a remote location.

Officials were notified just after noon Monday to a spot on top of Smiths Mesa above Virgin.

“Our EMS crews along with Deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s office were able to locate the patient and initiate treatment,” the agency’s statement says.

“Due to the remote location LifeFlight was also dispatched early on and arrived on scene shortly after the ground crews. The patient was ultimately transported to St. George Regional by the LifeFlight crew.

“The patient did have serious injuries that were not life threatening,” the statement says. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office also responded.
