HUNTSVILLE, Utah, Nov. 16, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Mountain Green Fire Department and Weber Fire District responded Friday to a chlorine treatment plant in Huntsville.

The plant was near the former monastery, a news release from Mountain Green Fire says.

“One person had been sickened by the leak, and the leak alarm brought a full hazardous material response.

“Firefighters entered the Hot Zone in full fire turnouts on breathing air, to determine that the leak was small enough to not require full chemical suit protection.”

Firefighters were able to control the leak, the release says, “and fumes dissipated.”
