HEBER CITY, Utah, Feb. 25, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — An 18-year-old man is in custody after he crashed an SUV into a Heber City home, and came to rest vertically, tail lights skyward, resting against the residence.

The incident began with a citizen report of reckless driving on U.S. 189. The caller told officers at the Heber City Police Department that an SUV driver was speeding and passing other cars by veering off the roadway and into non-driving areas.

The Wasatch County Sheriff’s office and the Heber City Police Department responded and located a car that fit the description, but the driver sped away.

The SUV ran red lights and stop signs, until it crashed into a home on the corner of 200 north and 100 East.

Heber City police officials say Aaron Joseph Miller climbed out of the car and surrendered.
