DELLE, UTAH – August 27, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – A man from West Haven died and a woman was seriously injured in a single vehicle rollover near Delle Wednesday morning.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, Troopers were called to the scene of a single vehicle rollover Wednesday morning at 6:49 a.m, near mile marker 70 on I-80.
Upon arriving they found Gerald D. Bastian, 61, who was the passenger in the Dodge Dakota truck, had been thrown from the front seat of the vehicle to the rear, sustaining fatal injuries.
The driver, Ann M. Fearn, 48, of Hooper, who was wearing her seat belt, suffered serious injuries to her head and body. Fearn was transported to the University of Utah Hospital by helicopter.
Troopers said alcohol and drugs are suspected as contributing factors in the accident.
