PARK CITY, Utah, April 24, 2016 (Gephardt Daily) — A Salt Lake City man was killed in a single-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon in Park City.
A Utah Highway Patrol statement said Kurt R. Peterson, 46, was traveling on SR-224 near 1900 West just after noon in a 2012 Toyota Camry when heĀ failed to negotiate a curve and drove off the right side of the road. His car went through a wooden fence and into a small stream next to a golf course.
Peterson and his 24-year-old passenger, also of Salt Lake City, were transported by ground ambulance to the University of Utah Hospital.
Peterson died from his injuries at the hospital.
His passenger was admitted in serious condition.
The UHP has yet to determine why Peterson lost control of his car as their investigation is ongoing.
