SAN JUAN COUNTY, Utah, Jan. 22, 2025 (Gephardt Daily) — A male and female sought overnight after an alleged vehicle theft have been apprehended.
The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office alerted area residents on social media Tuesday night that officers from multiple law enforcement agencies were searching for the two in an area “north of Recapture Reservoir just north of Blanding along highway 191,” the initial post said. They “fled from the scene on the north side of the reservoir after stealing a vehicle from Monticello. The individuals are on foot.”
The post warned drivers not to pick up up strangers in the area, urging people to “Be safe!”
An update issued at 8:14 a.m. Wednesday says the following:
“San Juan County Deputies have apprehended the suspects involved in this case this morning. We would like to thank all of the assisting law enforcement agencies and the public for the help in the searching and apprehension of the suspects.”
