Nov. 2 (UPI) — An Oregon sheriff’s office said a deputy came to the rescue of an arachnophobic driver who pulled over when they spotted a spider on their dashboard.
The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office posted photos to Facebook showing Deputy Steinhauer offering some help to the distressed driver and the vehicle’s unauthorized eight-legged passenger.
The spider was safely released outside of the car.
“This morning’s unusual call: A driver pulled over in distress and asked our deputies to remove a spider from the car’s dashboard. Deputy Steinhauer was happy to (carefully) oblige,” the Facebook post said.
