SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, July 2, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A 52-year-old man was arrested Monday after he was found sleeping in a Chevrolet pickup with the engine running and with drug paraphernalia visible through the windows.
A search of the vehicle found blue pills stamped “M30,” determined to be Fentanyl, and a white, soap-like substance determined to be cocaine in a tin foil “tooter” pipe, as well as prescription gabapentin outside its prescription container, according to an affidavit filed by a Salt Lake City Police officer.
A records check also determined the man in the truck, Kelly Patrick Liebrecht, had a suspended driver license.
He was taken into custody at 4:38 p.m. and was booked into the Salt Lake County jail for investigation of:
- Two counts of possession of a controlled substance schedule I/II/analog, a third-degree felony
- Driving under the influence, second offense in 10 years, a class A misdemeanor
- Possession of controlled substances marijuana/spice, a class B misdemeanor
- Possession of drug paraphernalia, a class B misdemeanor
- Driving on suspended license, a class C misdemeanor
He was ordered held without bail.
