PROVO, Utah, Oct. 2, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A motorcyclist died Wednesday morning after a collision with a vehicle that turned into the rider’s path.
Provo police say that the incident was at 800 North and 500 West at about 6:10 a.m.
“A northbound vehicle traveling along 500 West, was making a left turn onto 800 North, when a southbound motorcyclist traveling along 500 West, struck the side of the vehicle,” the PPD statement says.
“The motorcyclist was transported to Utah Valley Hospital, where he died a short time later from his injuries. The driver of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators.”
The intersection was closed for about 2.5 hours during the on-scene investigation, and has since reopened.
