HANNA, Utah, July 19, 2018 (Gephardt Daily) — Three people were killed and one more is in critical condition after a crash involving three motorcycles on State Route 35 in Duchesne County Thursday.
The accident happened at about 10:30 a.m. on State Route 35, just west of Hanna, in Duchesne County.
“There was a large group of motorcycles, and one went down, and two others hit it,” Lt. Todd Royce, Utah Highway Patrol, told Gephardt Daily. “There were three riders and one passenger, three males and one female.”
Royce said one of the men killed appeared to be in his 70s, but he had no additional information about the riders.
Two riders died at the scene. Two victims were taken to a hospital in very critical condition, Royce said.
One died at the hospital, according to a tweet from Utah Public Safety, posted at about 4 p.m.
The names of the riders killed in the accident will be released pending notification of their next of kin.
