PARK CITY, Utah, Dec. 20, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — The Utah Highway Patrol has identified the victim of a fatal auto-pedestrian crash in Park City Thursday morning.

A post on the Utah Department of Public Safety website said Catalina Alvarado Lopez, 55, was struck by a Chevrolet pickup truck while crossing Kearns Boulevard near Cooke Drive at approximately 7:15 a.m.

UHP investigators have determined Lopez was not in a marked crosswalk when she was hit.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported Lopez to a local hospital. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was later airlifted by helicopter to a Salt Lake Valley hospital where she was pronounced deceased, the UHP post said.

The driver of the pickup truck remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to the UHP.

No charges have been filed to date.
