SOUTHERN UTAH, Dec. 13, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — A magnitude 2.7 quake, classified as a micro earthquake, shook a rural area 6.5 miles northeast of Hildale on Friday.
Monitors recorded the event as happening at 8:57 a.m. It originated at a depth of 8.3 miles, according to information shared by the University of Utah Seismograph Stations.
As of Friday evening, no one had reported feeling it to the USGS “Did you feel it” page.
No accounts of injury or damage have been made public.
