SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Feb. 3, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — Police are searching for a pair of apparently hangry suspects who assaulted a delivery guy before making off with multiple 14-inch pizzas — plus an order of jalapeño poppers.
Salt Lake City Police Department Det. Richard Chipping told Gephardt Daily the incident happened at approximately 10:55 p.m. Thursday in the area of 335 N. 700 West when the pizza guy was attempting to make a delivery, but had an incorrect address.
The victim was walking to an apartment building when a man outside asked if he had their pizza. While the two talked another suspect blindsided him and punched him in the head from behind. Both suspects then fought with the victim and took the pizzas, and the poppers.
Chipping said the victim was not seriously hurt and refused medical attention.
The suspects left in an older hatchback. The first suspect is described as black, in his 20s, 5 feet 6 inches tall and 135 pounds, with short curly black hair, wearing a gray or brown hoodie. The second suspect is described as a dark skinned male, wearing a beanie.
