WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Feb. 4, 2017 (Gephardt Daily) — A man has been arrested for DUI following a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning in West Valley City.
The man, driving a work van at about 2 a.m. in the area of 3785 S. 6400 West, reportedly crossed a center median, hit and damaged a power pole, then struck a fence, a bush and a tree before the van came to a rest on its side.
Numerous open containers were found inside and outside of the van, according to information from the West Valley Police Department.
The man was being booked into the Utah County Jail on Saturday morning. His name has not yet been released. Rocky Mountain Power was repairing the pole.
