SACRAMENTO, CA – October 8, 2015 (Gephardt Daily) – Spencer Stone, one of the American heroes who stopped a terrorist attack on a French train in August, was hospitalized in stable condition Thursday after being brutally assaulted and stabbed on a downtown Sacramento street.
The U.S. Air Force confirmed reports first broadcast by CBS News that the 23-year-old Stone was attacked with a knife near the corner of 21st and K streets in the California state capitol shortly before 1 am Thursday morning.
Stone is from Carmichael, California and was hospitalized in August with injuries he suffered after he and two other American friends took down a gunman on a Paris-bound train. Ayoub El-Khazzani, 25, was arrested in that attack.
